Treachery

For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

Isaiah 50:7

Turning the ones you love against you; She deals in sinister subtlety.

She convincingly plays the victim; Safely keeping herself out of reach.

Who would believe you; The web of twisted lies, her deceit.

Like a lamb brought to slaughter; She cries innocent as her knife sinks deep!

How do you trust when the blood Runs like water?

How do you heal when the pain Runs so deep?

How do you forgive when the Betrayal is so startling?

You turn to the One in whom you have believed!

Jesus, a man acquainted with sorrows!

Jesus, a friend who sticks closer than a brother!

Jesus, the Savior of your soul!

He can restore what the enemy has stolen. He gives peace in the face of despair.

Jesus, the anchor in stormy weather!

Jesus, the answer to all of your prayers!

In Him is rest as He leads you by still waters. Through Him justice and judgement will prevail.

Treachery’s price will be paid by the one who dealt it. Least she repent and find forgiveness there.
