The Greatest Love Of All

We love him, because he first loved us.

1 John 4:19 KJV

Oh, the amazing lengths the Lord God Almighty will go to in order to rescue His children, from specifically sending one disciple to answer spiritual questions for a man who is seeking after the truth (Acts 8) all the way to appearing Himself in a blinding, unmistakable light to someone who otherwise would fail to believe (Acts 9)!

God uses whatever means He deems appropriate to reach us because He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

Do all people follow along with Gods will for them? Unfortunately, the answer to that question is no! So, because of that, many will perish outside of His perfect will for them! God went to great lengths to show them His love- going so far as to send His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to take their sins upon Himself, thus giving them a way, the Only way, to the Father in Heaven (1 John 4:10)!

Why? Because He loves us!

The Bible tells us so!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

Yes, God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8)!

What lengths did He or is He going to now to reach and rescue you?

Is He beckoning you to come to Him? To lay down the weapons of your warfare and finally surrender to Him?

He will not force His love on you!

What kind of real love is forced or coerced? Would it be true love if you only surrendered due to pressure, worldly guilt, or for selfish gain while your heart truly remains set on something or someone else other than Jesus?

And what kind of love is it that you who claim to have already surrendered to Him give Him in return? Is it the love He so rightly deserves?

I urge you to seek Jesus for these answers! That is the only way you can make your calling and election sure (2 Peter 1)!

Does your faith lay totally in Jesus and His finished work on the cross?

Do you really love Him? Do you?

Think hard about how He has first loved you!

He is the greatest love of all!
