Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Matthew 10:16 KJV
I know that I can’t trust them
They will surely let me down
They flatter with their words
But their actions feed my doubts
Niceness is their motto
Yet their lies are ever at play
I cannot trust their motives
I know they were born this way
Skillful in their magic
Dazzling in all of their affairs
Who would I be to buck them
They wear the social crown
Weavers of destruction
Their victims are silent by the way
So they go on pretending
They are the righteous of their day
If I dare to cross them
There will be a price to pay
They will protect their position
No one will believe what I say
Willful ears they tickle
Listening with baited breath
Leading the unassuming
To their eternal deaths
I must obey my master
He directs my steps
He will avenge this disaster
Providing His swift justice
