She left off talking as she started to run So many things unsaid many more left undone She’s lived ten lifetimes but nobody cares They’re all fighting their own battles And have demons to share She can see through them as they open their mouths They’re not good at hiding what’s holding them down People tell her to write of these things that she’s seen She thinks it best if they just live in her dreams It gets all muttled confused and complex How can she straighten out what has already passed In the mundane She surely finds calmness In serving others Her light shines through the darkness She thinks of the mountains of her childhood home Imperfect masterpieces of glorious domes Mountains so beautiful In all of their granger Satan tempted Jesus But He was never in danger He resisted that devil who tried to cast Him down She prays she can stand the same as they try to drag her around She stares into space remembering His promise And kneeling at His cross is where she finds solace
