Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV
I’ve sat quietly and listened to many a person try to work their way gingerly around The Truth of God in an effort to not offend me. They speak as if they are in fact in agreement themselves with that very truth while at the same time they are engaging in the very act of trying to quench the work of the Holy Spirit of God- excusing and trying to cover for those that refuse to walk in the light!
I sit in wonder as I listen to their twisting of words and the delicate way they try to sugar coat the complacency and shift towards evil thinking that our society in general has gone the way of and, I have to stop and ask myself- can they not hear themselves????
This is obviously so uncomfortable for them!
While I sit resting in the truth, I watch as they squirm and fidget as they try their level best to skirt past what their conscience testifies to them is the Gods honest truth! Even if they admit it is the truth they refuse to believe it or defend it boldly! Their fear oozes from every pore! They have yet to surrender to Jesus! And they do not understand how you could have? How could you trust His process? How could you cease to lean on your own understanding and rely instead on His?
They are miserable in their fence riding! Refusing to side with good they teeter on the brink of spiritual death!
Let us who have experienced the miracle of the new birth not be wavered or distracted at all by their well-intentioned yet satanic advice! They have not been set free, whereas we are free indeed! Perhaps our stoic stand for Christ will be a witness to them and, in time, they will finally yield to His truth!
